Anja Haga is a Dutch Member of European Parliament on behalf of ChristenUnie (Christian Union) and ECPM. She succeeded MEP Peter van Dalen (CU/ECPM) in September 2023.
In the European Parliament, she is member of the Parliamentary Committee on Fisheries, a member of the Subcommittee on Human Rights, of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and part of the Delegation for Relations with South Asian Countries. Haga is a former member of the Provincial Council of Friesland and former alderman of the city of Arnhem. Additionally, she worked as strategic policy advisor for the Dutch Forestry Department. Ms. Haga lives together with her husband in Dokkum, the Netherlands.

Anja Haga is an expert in environment and climate policies and as MEP she fights for a plastic-free Europe and the preservation of nature. The other spearheads of her candidacy for the EP elections are Freedom of Religion & Belief and a humane, solidarity-based asylum policy.
