Jean-Frédéric Poisson is a French author, writer, philosopher, and an experienced politician driven by the fight to protect human dignity, freedom, and family values.
From a young age, Poisson has been socially engaged and served his community in various forms. He studied philosophy and law, holds several master degrees and a doctorate in bioethics.
Poisson served as member of the French National Assembly during two separate mandates in which he held several positions, among them Vice-President of the Law Committee and Founding Member of the Parliamentary Agreement for Family. He also served as Mayor of Rambouillet and ran twice in the primaries for the French presidential elections. Since 2013, he is president of VIA | La Voie du People, and since 2023 he serves on the board of the ECPM’s Board.
Jean-Frédéric Poisson wrote ten books on topics such as bioethics, human dignity, palliative care, and more. One of his most notable works is Soins palliatifs, la vrai alternative à l’euthanasie [Palliative Care, the True Option to Euthanasia] published in 2023. Poisson contributes to several magazines and is a regular guest on radio and television shows where he participates in debates on political and social issues.
