Márton Gyöngyösi is a Hungarian Member of European Parliament representing Jobbik Konzervatívok (Jobbik Conservatives) and ECPM.
He studied economics and political science and worked as a tax consultant before dedicating himself to full-time politics. From 2010 to 2018, he served as member of the Hungarian Parliament where he was the vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee. As an MEP, he is a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and of the Delegations to the Africa-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly and to the African, Caribbean and Pacific States- EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly. Mr. Gyöngyösi is married and has a son.
He currently leads the Jobbik Conservatives, a party committed to holding the Hungarian government accountable for its policies and to promoting conservative Judeo-Christian values. Gyöngyösi is a staunch opponent of Viktor Orbán and his authoritarian government. He advocates for Christian values, democracy and fundamental freedoms, as well as for the protection of the environment and nature. He puts families as the cornerstone of all policies and society at large.
